Haiya booking guide
Hyatt award alerts vs checking Hyatt manually
Use Hyatt to confirm and book a points stay. Use an award alert when you want repeated checks while you are away. Manual searches suit a trip you can book now; monitoring helps when your preferred dates are unavailable or you can wait for another opening.
| Your decision | Check Hyatt manually | Monitor with Haiya |
|---|---|---|
| I can book available dates now | Search the complete stay and confirm the final terms | Use the calendar to explore dates, then confirm on Hyatt |
| My preferred award dates are unavailable | Repeat the search when you have time | Save an alert and receive email when a check finds a match |
| I need several consecutive nights | Search the exact check-in and check-out together | Pro can monitor complete stays of two to seven nights |
| I need the final booking price or cancellation policy | Read Hyatt's booking details before paying | Treat observed prices as a planning aid; confirm with Hyatt |
| I want to spend nothing on monitoring | Do the repeat checks yourself | Use two free alerts with a two-day check-in window and one-night stays |
Why can an alert help if I already searched today?
A search is a snapshot. A hotel can show a points stay later even if your earlier search found none. Repeated monitoring can catch a matching opening between your manual searches, but it still has gaps between checks. Haiya's hotel history shows observed openings and coverage so you can see how much evidence exists.
What does monitoring not solve?
An alert cannot make a hotel release inventory, hold a room, transfer points, or finish a booking. It also cannot promise the lowest possible price. Keep your acceptable dates and points cap realistic, and be ready to check Hyatt when an email arrives.
Which approach fits my trip?
For a flexible overnight stop, start with manual search or a free alert. For a specific multi-night resort stay that is currently unavailable, monitoring the complete stay is more useful than repeatedly checking isolated nights. For a fixed trip with no acceptable backup, make your travel decision using confirmed availability rather than a hoped-for future release.
